❥ 1 cup/240g warm water
❥ 1 cup/240g milk
❥ 2tbsps/25g sugar
❥ ½ cube/13g fresh yeast
❥ 3½ cup/450g flour
❥ 4tbsps/52g olive oil
❥ Sunflower Oil for frying
❥ A pinch of salt
❥ Chopped Walnuts
❥ High quality honey for serving
Recipe
1. In a bowl, dissolve the fresh yeast in the warm water. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
2. Add flour, olive oil, and salt to the yeast mixture. Mix well until a sticky dough forms.
3. Cover the bowl with a clean towel and let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
4. In a deep pan, heat sunflower oil to about 180°C (350°F).
5. Use an oiled spoon or your hands to drop small balls of dough into the hot oil. Fry until golden brown and puffed
6.Place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
7. Drizzle generously with high-quality honey and sprinkle with chopped walnuts.
